What to Build
The Challenge: Design Meaningful Interactions with AI
Envision and design user interfaces for innovative interactions that evolve our understanding of AI’s roles in our life. Then, choose one of the following prompts:
- Virtual Companion: Design a virtual companion product that enhances daily life and/or addresses a specific need. Consider how your design offers unique value or improves upon existing solutions.
- Collaborative Workspaces: Design a new AI-powered product or reimagine an existing one to create a seamless and collaborative workspace. Consider how you can enhance productivity and creativity for teams by enabling collaboration.
- Accessibility: Design a product that utilizes AI-powered assistive technologies to improve accessibility for a specific group - consider elderly population, individuals with physical or mental conditions, neurodivergent individuals, and more.
Do some research, understand the stakeholders involved, and consider what existing products within these categories have already addressed, and design a product prototype to either enhance these solutions or tackle unresolved challenges. This can be as specific or broad as you like.
Though feasibility should be a point of consideration, don’t be afraid to think big! We want you to have a logical, coherent, and creative idea but we don’t expect you to test your solution. The judges are expecting to see bold ideas that are evidence-based and well-thought through.
What to Submit
Participants should submit a max. 3-minute demo video walking through their design, the choices they made, and the ways in which their design contributes towards solving the issue they chose.
